Use the kitchen screen (KDS)
Show tickets on a tablet or TV in the kitchen instead of, or as well as, printing them.
Steps
- 1. Open Sales → Kitchen screen on the kitchen tablet and sign in with a user who has the “Use the kitchen screen” permission.
- 2. Pick a station tab (Kitchen / Bar) so each screen shows only its own tickets; press the expand icon for full screen.
- 3. New tickets arrive within 3 seconds with a beep. Tap Start, then Ready; tap a single line to mark just that dish.
- 4. Tickets turn amber after the target minutes set in Settings → Restaurant and red after double.
- 5. The strip at the top adds up what is being cooked across tickets (“×7 Paneer Tikka · 3 tickets”).
Tips
- Choose “Kitchen screen only” under Send KOT to skip printing altogether.
